Welcome

Welcome to our consultation website.

Redrow Homes has created this website to inform the local community of their plans to redevelop the former Wandle Valley Trading Estate. The site consists of two phases and Redrow intends to deliver both in consultation with the Council and local residents.

As you may be aware, the site received planning permission for 124 houses and commercial space from Sutton Council in September 2014.

Redrow now intends to slightly amend the design of the houses in phase 1 to it’s high-quality ‘Regent’ range. The consented amount of housing and approved site layout will remain unchanged.

Phase 1 Proposals

The existing brownfield site is underutilised and recognised by the Council as in need of redevelopment. Redrow therefore intends to work with the Council and the local community to ensure a proposed scheme is in keeping with the Wandle Valley area and supports the area’s plans for further regeneration.

Redrow intends to submit a request to the London Borough of Sutton in the coming months to revise the consented house designs to their bespoke ‘Regent’ range. The ‘Regent’ range design has previously been constructed in the London Borough of Bexley and has been carefully selected by Redrow as being suitable for the Wandle Valley area. Importantly, this minor change will allow Redrow to swiftly begin regenerating the site.

The consented amount of housing and approved site layout will remain unchanged.

The site’s phase two will not commence until phase 1 has been finalised with the Council. This website has therefore been created to keep local residents updated throughout both phases of the planning and development process.
